fun & cute stuff

Since my first post was griping about a negative aspect of baby-hood, I thought I should follow up with more positive ones.

I am amazed all the time as I watch Fisher's personality grow. I love watching him use his walking toy to "run" laps around the kitchen. My friend Sylvie comes over every Tuesday to watch The Biggest Loser. Fisher's favorite part of her visit is when she plays the "I'm gonna get you!" game. It goes something like this...Fisher starts his laps, and every time he passes Sylvie, she crouches down and says "I'm gonna get you!" Fisher squeals then goes faster. If she doesn't "get him", he looks back as if to say "Hey lady, didn't you just see me pass?". And then here we go again!

Another one of Fisher's favorite activities is playing with his cars. He'll roll them around (and off) the table for a long time. He has also discovered that it is even more fun to roll them down his slide (thanks Aunt Becky!).

His favorite books right now are Goodnight Gorilla, Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See, and 2 other animal books. If we are in the same room as "Gorilla", I'll ask him "Fisher-where is Goodnight Gorilla?" He stops and says "ah-rirrah" and searches around for it. He is such a fan, that I can't even read it to him anymore-HE has to be in charge!

Fisher has so much fun when he is at Grandma's and can play with cuzzy Luke. At home, he takes two naps a day. But not at Grandma's! Luke and Fisher have too much fun together! They actually "tag team" her when she tries to get them down. One rests while the other jumps around and plays on the bed. Fisher is always excited when we pull in the driveway!

And last but not least...something just plain silly! My friend Katie has posted some pretty hilarious pictures of her son Eliot using Photo Booth and I just had to post one of my own.

The Office

So, many of you know that The Office is my FAVORITE comedy. If I get the chance to talk to another fellow Office Obsessor, we could go on forever quoting favorite episodes and scenes. By far, my favorite scenes are when Jim pranks Dwight. I did a search on You Tube tonight and came across a top 10 that someone had put together and decided to see how easy it would be to put a You Tube in my blog (very easy to do by the way!) So fellow Office fans...enjoy!! My personal favorites are numbers 2 & 3 ;-).

Dracula in the House

I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now. What's stopped me? Time being the main blog blocker. But also wondering who would actually read it. So here goes...

I think Fisher might want to change his Halloween costume from Elmo to Dracula.

He has started the bad habit of biting! Actually, "started" is not really the right word. He started this over a month ago. It just seems like he's doing it more now, and mostly to me. He does it when he's being silly...but he does it more when he is frustrated. It's actually kind of scary to see a 15 month old coming at your face with an open mouth. It's hard to figure out if he's coming in for a kiss (he hasn't got the pucker down yet), or a bite! He will actually pull any part of me closer to try to bite when he is really frustrated. Anyone out there have this problem? I feel like if he were doing this as an older toddler, I might be able to correct the behavior better. But it is really hard to discipline a 15 month old. The best I can come up with is a very firm "NO Fisher!" The worst that happens is that he gets this really sad look on his face then cries with real tears (or the other extreme-he gives one of his cute looks and tries to make me laugh). I am up for any advice. I don't want Fisher to be "that kid who bites". His biting is never hard enough to break the skin, but I want to break this habit before it does!
